Captain Andrew Kouris, known by his regulars as Captain Andy, has been a licensed captain since 2018, but his connection to the water began long before that. With over 26 years of fishing experience, he’s spent countless days mastering the tides, currents, and hidden gems of Tampa Bay and the surrounding St. Petersburg waters. Before relocating to Florida’s Gulf Coast, Andy fished the cold, challenging waters of Massachusetts—particularly around South Island and South Boston—where he sharpened his skills and developed his lifelong passion for the sport. Over the years, he’s also competed in and won numerous fishing tournaments, adding to his deep understanding of both recreational and competitive angling.
Captain Andy’s approach is rooted in more than just technique—it’s about sharing the love of fishing with others. He has a natural talent for teaching, whether it’s helping kids catch their very first fish or guiding aspiring anglers on how to improve their casting, baiting, or reading the water. His calm, friendly demeanor and love of conversation make everyone on board feel like part of the crew. If he’s not running a charter, you’ll likely find him out on the water with his grandkids, passing down fishing traditions and creating the kind of memories he hopes to share with every guest who steps aboard.
Andy’s trips go beyond the catch—he’s known for immersing guests in the full experience of fishing in Tampa Bay. He navigates the area's pristine inshore waters, winding canals, and scenic flats, often pointing out playful dolphins or gliding manatees along the way. His knowledge of the local ecosystem is unmatched, and he loves showing off the natural beauty of the region just as much as he enjoys helping you land a solid snook or redfish. With Captain Andy, every trip feels personal, educational, and truly memorable.
